Industrial Placements
Across our offices, we offer industrial placement, also known as a sandwich year. Typically, 12 months of full-time work amidst your degree, the industrial placement can help you get ahead in your field. You will finish your studies with an understanding of how the industry works and what is expected of you. With this valuable hands-on experience, you will be far more confident and with a clearer focus when you start your career after graduation.
During your industrial placement, you will have a significantly deeper involvement with the project work at our offices, compared to a shorter-period internships or summer placements. Therefore, our industrial placement students experience fully the lifestyle of a young professional both in the office and outside the office.
Summer Placements / Internships
Our doors are wide open throughout the year to dedicated interns who look for a taste of real-life work. If you are a student pursuing a degree in a relevant discipline and you would like to have a sneak peak into what working in a professional consultancy environment, AEE is one of the best places to find out.
You will find yourself alongside top-class professionals and work together on real projects. You will have a senior staff member mentoring you and providing immediate feedback on your progress. You will be part of project site visits to local projects and various social events. Unlike many other companies in our field, interns at AEE have a regular access to the leadership in an informal and friendly environment.
Work Experience
Work experience is the single most important factor that every employer considers when selecting their employees. That’s why from a practical point of view earlier you start building your professional experience, the better. Of course, another important factor is the quality of the projects you have worked on. At AEE, interns have the rare opportunity to gain experience by involvement in some of the most challenging and prestigious projects by some of the most celebrated clients around the world.
