AEE is the building services (MEP) supplier of Moncler providing MEP design services for new openings in their Asia-Pacific portfolio, including greater China, South-east Asia, Australia, and New Zealand. AEE is responsible for the full range of building services design and construction coordination in a team effort of AEE’s cross-border offices during the challenging restrictions of COVID19 pandemics.
Project Introduction
Recent years have seen a remarkable growth of Moncler in the APAC region. AEE supports the brand expansion in the region by providing MEP engineering consultancy services for the boutiques within the Moncler Asia Pacific portfolio (covering China, Hong Kong SAE and Macau SAR, as well as South East Asia, Australia and New Zealand). Some of the notable stores delivered by AEE include the boutiques in Wuhan, Chengdu Taikoo Li, Chengdu Airport, Hangzhou Mixcity, Shenzhen, Hainan Sanya and Haikou, Beijing China World, Zhengzhou, Nanjing Dejing, Nanjing, Shanghai Plaza 66, Shanghai Pudong Airport, and Kuala Lumpur among others.

Moncler has specific building services requirements dictated by the unique design as well as by the environmental commitments of the brand and high levels of LEED certification pursued for the majority of the new stores. As a MEP engineering consultant, AEE provides the following design services:
- Mechanical ventilation and air-conditioning (MVAC)
- Fire services (FS)
- Plumbing and drainage (P&D)
- Electrical systems design.
All projects are delivered within short timeframes with AEE providing all coordination with landlord and hands-on construction supervision and coordination with the contractor team.
Further Information
Founded in 1952 by René Ramillon and André Vincent, the name is an abbreviation of Monestier-de-Clermont, a village in the mountains near Grenoble, France. The first quilted jackets were conceived for protecting workers from the cold. In 1954, Moncler quilted jackets were chosen to equip the Italian expedition to K2. Moncler became well-known internationally after the Grenoble Winter Olympics in 1968, where it became became the official supplier of the French national downhill skiing team. In 2003, Moncler was acquired by Italian entrepreneur Remo Ruffini and the brand became a household name internationally.
Environmental sustainability is part of the brand’s DNA. In 2020, Moncler launched the “Born to Protect” sustainability plan which features renewable energy, animal welfare, recycling, and charitable giving standards. In the past years, Moncler has invested significantly in enhancing the sustainability performance of its store network.
