Project Introduction
The project comprises multiple boutiques of the Nespresso Asia Pacific portfolio that have opened in the past two years. The stores are located in high-end shopping centers and the project works constitute interior fitout. Nespresso boutiques belong to the luxury retail segment and they offer the celebrated Nespresso coffee capsules, made of aluminium and fully recyclable, as well as a selected range of coffee machines. The stores also provide opportunity to engage with Nespresso Coffee Specialists to learn more about coffee origins, profiles and taste preferences, and discover new coffee rituals and recipes.
Provided Services
AEE has delivered a number of boutiques in the Asia Pacific portfolio, including Shanghai One ITC, Hong Kong K11, and Central Ladprao Bangkok among others. For these projects, AEE provided MEP design services, including:
- Mechanical ventilation and air-conditioning (MVAC),
- Fire services (FS),
- Plumbing and drainage (P&D),
- Electrical systems design, as well as
- Extra-low voltage installations (ELV).
All projects are delivered within short timeframes with AEE providing all coordination with landlord.
Further Information
Nespresso boutique spaces often feature elements that demonstrate Nespresso’s commitment to sustainability, such as table-tops made of used coffee grounds from the Nespresso factory in Switzerland, wood sourced from reforestation programmes, and a capsule recycling collection point where guests can drop off their used capsules. Made from aluminium, Nespresso capsules are fully recyclable – from the aluminium capsules to the coffee grounds within. Once used capsules are collected by Nespresso, the aluminium is separated from the coffee residue. The aluminium is then re-melted and becomes raw material, while the coffee grounds are repurposed as natural compost to grow plants, fruits and vegetables. Nespresso aims to share their commitment to sustainability by encouraging Club Members to recycle their used capsules and join the movement to more responsible living.
