During the concept design stage, our lighting consultants study the architectural and interior design concept and complements it with an integrated lighting concept and lighting parameter standards. We also prepare a presentation of the design concept to the users for approval.
During the scheme and detail design stages, we develop the concept into layout drawings, details, technical specifications, control schematics and schedules and control logic and implementation. At this stage, lighting quality simulation and light pollution simulation are used to fine-tune the design and achieve the required parameters. It is also key to ensure coordination with the MEP team and producing combined services drawings, and meet the standards for lighting power density (LPD) in order to achieve energy efficient operation. Automatic controls based on timer schedules, presence and occupancy sensors, daylight sensors, as well as circuit selection and dimmable light fixtures specification are critical for the energy efficient performance of the lighting installation.
In the tender stage, our lighting consultants provide a final luminaire selection and performance specification into the tender package. Tender evaluation and value engineering, in case of any replacement equipment is counter-proposed is key at this stage, as well as lighting design verification of the proposed shop drawings.
Our team also provides construction management and monitoring, including review of mock-ups or samples, followed by scene setting, lighting levels adjustment, focusing and testing and commissioning to certify the design intent and client objectives are met.
